Dear LaGuardia High School Community,
It is truly an honor to join this esteemed institution as your principal. This will be my third entry into the LaGuardia community. I am an alumnus and former teacher. Now, I am thrilled to return and serve as the school leader of Fiorello H. Laguardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
My history and experience at LaGuardia give me a unique understanding of why it is such a remarkable institution. As a LaGuardia student, I learned what being a part of a community of artists means. I experienced the power of creating and sharing art, and I grew by seeing the world through different cultural and artistic lenses. As a teacher, I experienced the transformative power of arts education. It inspired me to teach students how to realize their full potential through the arts and connect the skills they learned to their overall development as artists and leaders. As the next school leader, my vision for LaGuardia is to build upon my experiences, the rich history of the school, and the traditions upheld by the school community to ensure that students continue to receive an exceptional education while embracing opportunities for continued growth and innovation.
As we embark on this journey together, I am committed to collaborating closely with all of you to ensure our students receive a well-rounded education that nurtures their artistic and academic talents while equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel as productive global citizens.
Successful schools require commitment and collaboration between the school, families, and the community. I am excited to work together in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.
